The Dead Weather - 2009

It seems that Jack White finds himself on my top ten list every year. This time out he moves behind the drum kit for this project that Ill label as raw-rock. Not as blues inspired as the Stripes, or as song-oriented as the Raconteurs, Dead Weather aims to leave you feeling a bit dirty. Raw, overdriven guitars, straight forward garage band arrangements, and Alison Mossharts punk-chick vocals pummel their way through an album that seems to get better with each listen. Whites stamp is evident throughout, and much like the Raconteurs, this isnt a side project for him, its another real band.
